Accenture hikes dividend by 16.7%

Accenture (ACN) will raise its annual dividend by 16.7 percent to $0.35 per share in the fourth quarter of 2006. This marks the first ever dividend hike by the company. Last year the IT-services provider initiated a 30 cents per share annual dividend.

The increased dividend will be paid on November 15, 2006 to shareholders of record on October 13, 2006. The ex-date for this next dividend is October 11, 2006.
