Clothingmaker and producer of lifestyle products Ralph Lauren (RL) will increase its quarterly dividend by 12.5 percent to $0.45 per share. This translates into a dividend yield of 1% at the current stock price of $172.80.
The company now has paid a dividend every year since 2003. After paying a quarterly dividend of $0.05 per share for seven years, Ralph Lauren increased its dividend significantly in the last couple of years.
The payout was doubled three times since December 2009, when the first increase from $0.05 to $0.10 per quarter was realised, followed by two new dividend doubles in 2011 and 2012.
