CME Group pays $2 special dividend

CME Group (CME) has announced a special dividend payment of $2 per share.

Earlier this year CME increased it's regular quarterly dividend by 4.4%. It's the fourth consecutive year of dividend increases, with a special dividend payment in each of the last three years.

CME Group Inc. operates a derivatives exchange that trades futures contracts and options on futures, interest rates, stock indexes, foreign exchange, and commodities. The Company's products include both exchange-traded and privately negotiated futures and options contracts and swaps. The Company connects buyers and sellers together through its electronic trading platform and its open outcry trading facilities in Chicago and New York City.
