Visa (V) will raise its quarterly dividend by 17.9 percent to $0.165 per share in the fourth quarter of 2016.

The increased dividend is payable on December 6, 2016, to all holders of record as of November 18, 2016. The ex-date for this next dividend of 16.5 cents is November 16, 2016.

The global payments technology company has now raised its dividend for eight consecutive years. The current dividend yield is 0.8%. Last year the dividend was hiked by 16.7 percent (see below).
