Telecom giant AT&T (T) has agreed to buy Time Warner (TWX) for $85.4 billion.
AT&T will pay $107.50 per share for Time Warner, a premium of about 35 percent to the stock price of Time Warner before the merger talks were announced.
Because of the tough regulatory review surrounding the deal, analysts and investors are not convinced yet, with the stock price of Time Warner staying far below the AT&T bid.
AT&T is a member of the Dividend Aristocrats Index.
