Verizon also hiked its dividend by 2.1 percent in 2018.

Verizon Communications (VZ) will raise its quarterly dividend by 2.1 percent to $0.615 per share in 2019. This marks the company's 13th consecutive year of dividend increases.

The quarterly dividend is payable on November 1, 2019, to Verizon shareowners of record at the close of business on October 10, 2019. A new annual rate of $2.46 per share yields 4.1% at a stock price of $60.
