Verisk Analytics hikes dividend by 8%

Verisk Analytics Inc. (VRSK) will increase its quarterly dividend by 8.0 percent to $0.27 per share in 2020. Last year the data analytics provider serving customers in insurance, natural resources and financial services initiated a 25 cent quarterly dividend and this is the first increase since.

The next dividend will be paid on March 31, 2020 to shareholders of record on March 13, 2020. A new annual dividend rate of $1.08 per share yields 0.6% at a stock price of $170.

In the company's press release announcing the fourth quarter 2019 financial results Lee Shavel, CFO and executive vice president, said, “Normalizing for the impact of the injunction, Verisk delivered organic constant currency revenue growth of 6.3% and organic constant currency adjusted EBITDA growth of 11.0% in the fourth quarter. Our dividend increase of 8% underscores our confidence in our long-term growth, the stability of our business, and our capital management discipline.”
