Winmark hikes dividend by 400%

Winmark Corporation (WINA) will now raise its quarterly dividend by 400.0 percent to 25 cents per share in 2020. In the previous quarter the retail store franchisor cut its quarterly dividend by 80.0 percent to five cents per share. Last year the company raised its quarterly dividend by 66.7 percent to $0.25 per share, marking the 9th consecutive year of dividend increases.

The next dividend will be paid September 1, 2020 to shareholders of record on the close of business on August 12, 2020. A new annual rate of $1.00 per share yields 0.6% at a stock price of $156. Because of this increase Winmark will return to the annual dividend level it paid before the cut in the previous quarter.
