Cheniere Energy Partners hikes distribution by 0.8%

Cheniere Energy Partners (CQP) will raise its quarterly distribution by another 0.8 percent to $0.655 per unit in the first quarter of 2021. Last year the MLP hiked its distribution by a total of 4.8 percent. This will mark the 5th consecutive year of higher distributions paid by CQP.

The next distribution is payable on February 12, 2021 to unitholders of record as of February 8, 2021. A new annual distribution of $2.62 per unit yields 7.0% at a price of $37.31. The annual distribution has been raised for 5 consecutive years by CQP and translates into a total payment of $1.268 billion annually.

Cheniere Energy Partners, L.P. (Cheniere Partners) is a Delaware limited partnership formed by Cheniere Energy, Inc. Through wholly owned subsidiaries, it owns and operates the Sabine Pass LNG receiving terminal and the Creole Trail Pipeline located in western Cameron Parish, Louisiana on the Sabine-Neches Waterway. Through Sabine Pass LNG, L.P., Cheniere Partners owns and operates regasification facilities at the Sabine Pass LNG terminal, which includes LNG storage tanks, marine berths and vaporizers with regasification capacity. Cheniere Partners also owns a  pipeline that interconnects the Sabine Pass LNG terminal with a number of large interstate pipelines through its wholly owned subsidiary, Cheniere Creole Trail Pipeline, L.P. Cheniere Partners has been paying quarterly distributions since 2007, when it became a publicly traded company.
