Verizon hikes dividend by 2%

Communications giant Verizon (VZ) will raise its quarterly dividend by another 2.0 percent to $0.64 per share in 2021, marking the 15th consecutive year of dividend increases by the provider of communications, information and entertainment products and services. Last year VZ also announced a 2 percent dividend hike.

The next quarterly VZ dividend of 64 cents per share is payable on November 1, 2021, to Verizon shareholders of record at the close of business on October 8, 2021. A new annual rate of approximately $2.56 per share yields 4.7% at a stock price of $54.91. The next ex-dividend date for Verizon is October 7, 2021.
