Nike hikes dividend by 16.1%

NIKE (NKE) will raise its quarterly dividend by 16.1 percent to 36 cents per share in the fourth quarter of 2011. In 2010 the footwear company hiked its dividend by almost 15 percent.

The increased dividend of 36 cents quarterly will be paid on January 3, 2012 to shareholders of record on December 5, 2011.

The company’s brands include Converse, which designs, markets and distributes athletic lifestyle footwear, apparel and accessories; and Hurley, which designs, markets and distributes surf and youth lifestyle footwear, apparel and accessories.
