MSCI initiates dividend

MSCI Inc (MSCI) will start paying its first ever dividend. The quarterly payment is $0.18 per share and shareholders will receive their first dividend on October 31, 2014 with a record date of October 15, 2014.

MSCI Inc. offers products and services to support the needs of institutional investors throughout their investment processes. The company produces indices and risk and return portfolio analytics for use in managing investment portfolios. MSCI was a pioneer in developing the market for global equity indexes. The company began licensing its first equity index products in 1969.
