Intel (INTC) will raise its quarterly dividend by 6.7 percent from $0.225 to $0.24 per share in 2015. It's the first dividend increase for the semiconductor company since 2012. The next dividend will be paid on March 1, 2015. The record date for the increased dividend is Feb. 7.

Last November Intel already announced that it would hike it's dividend in January 2015: "Today's dividend announcement reflects the board's confidence in Intel's strategy," said Intel Chairman Andy Bryant. "It also reflects the board's ongoing commitment to create value and return cash to Intel's stockholders."

Intel Corporation is engaged in the design and manufacture of digital technology platforms. The Company's segments include Client Computing Group (CCG), Data Center Group (DCG), Internet of Things Group (IOTG), Software and Services (SSG) and All Other. Intel went public October 13, 1971 and has been paying dividends since 1992.
