Walt Disney hikes dividend by 19.1%

The Walt Disney Company (DIS) will raise its semi-annual dividend by 19.1 percent to $0.71 per share.

In 2015 Walt Disney started paying semi-annual dividends. Last year a $1.15 annual dividend was paid, followed by two semi-annual dividend payments for a total of $1.37 per share this year.

The Walt Disney Company, together with its subsidiaries, is an entertainment company with operations in four business segments: Media Networks, Parks and Resorts, Studio Entertainment, and Consumer Products & Interactive Media. Its cable networks consist of ESPN, the Disney Channels and Freeform. Disney is a Dow 30 company.
