NexPoint Residential Trust hikes dividend by 6.8%

NexPoint Residential Trust (NXRT) will raise its quarterly dividend by 6.8 percent to $0.22 per share, marking the first dividend hike since the real estate investment trust initiated a dividend early 2015.

The dividend is payable on December 30, 2016 to stockholders of record on December 15, 2016 and translates into an estimated dividend yield of 4.8% based on Wednesday’s closing price $18.49.
