AvalonBay Communities hikes dividend by 3.5%

AvalonBay Communities (AVB) will raise its quarterly dividend by 3.5 percent to $1.47 per share in the first quarter of 2018. The REIT last announced a dividend increase in 2017, when the dividend was raised by 5.2 percent.

The dividend is payable on April 16, 2018 to common stockholders of record as of March 29, 2018. The new dividend yield for AVB is 3.7%.
