Southern Copper hikes dividend by 33.3%

Southern Copper Corporation (SCCO) will increase its quarterly dividend by 33.3 percent to $0.40 per share in the third quarter of 2018, marking the second dividend hike this year. The copper producer has now raised its dividend for three consecutive years.

The new dividend will be paid on August 21, 2018 to shareholders of record on August 8, 2018. The new dividend yield for SCCO is 3.2% based on the current stock price of $43.77.

Southern Copper Corporation is an integrated copper producer. It produces copper and, in the production process, obtains several by-products, including molybdenum, silver, zinc, sulfuric acid and other metals. The company has operations in Peru and Mexico.
