The merger between industrial gas makers Praxair (PX) and Linde AG (Germany) has been completed, ending the stock market listing of Dividend Aristocrat Praxair.
Starting today, Linde plc shares will commence trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the stock ticker symbol LIN. Praxair shareholders received one share of Linde plc for each Praxair share they had held.
Prior to the merger announcement Praxair had raised its dividend for 25 consecutive years and because of this the company was added to the Dividend Aristocrats Index. This year Praxair hiked its dividend by 4.8 percent to 82.5 cents per share quarterly.
