Moelis & Company (MC) will raise its quarterly dividend by 2.0 percent to $0.51 per share. The company will also pay a special dividend of $0.75 per share. Last year Moelis paid a special dividend of $1.25 per share together with a 6.4 percent dividend hike.

Both dividends (for a total of $1.26 per share) will be paid on March 27, 2020 to common stockholders of record on February 18, 2020. The regular annual dividend of $2.04 per share yields 5.2% at a stock price of $39.12.

“As part of our ongoing commitment in creating shareholder value, we increased our regular dividend for the seventh time, and announced our eighth special dividend. Coupled with record levels of share repurchases totaling 1.3 million shares, we will have returned approximately $225 million with respect to the 2019 performance year. We remain committed to returning our excess capital to shareholders, while continuing to invest in our business.” said Ken Moelis, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in today's press release.
