CNA Financial (CNA) will pay a special dividend of $2.00 per share. The insurer also hikes its regular quarterly dividend by 5.7 percent to 37 cents per share. Last year CNA also paid a $2.00 per share special dividend. Today's dividend increase is the first since 2018.

The new quarterly dividend of $0.37 per share and a special dividend of $2.00 per share are both payable March 12, 2020 to stockholders of record on February 24, 2020. The annual dividend rate of $1.48 per share yields 3.0% at a stock price of $50.78.
