General Dynamics (GD) will raise its quarterly dividend by 8.2 percent to $1.19 per share in 2021. This follows a dividend hike of 7.8 percent to $1.10 per share in the first quarter of 2020 by the defence company and also marks 24 consecutive years of straight annual dividend increases.

The next dividend is payable May 7, 2021, to shareholders of record on April 9, 2021. This is the 24th consecutive annual dividend increase authorized by the General Dynamics board, according to the company. A new annual dividend rate of $4.76 per share yields 2.8% at a current stock price of $168.

General Dynamics Corporation is a global aerospace and defense company.
