Ford Motor (F) will start paying a quarterly dividend of $0.05 per share in the first quarter of 2012. This is the first dividend payment since 2006, when the car maker cancelled its quarterly dividend of $0.05 per share, preceded by a 50 percent dividend cut earlier that year.
The first dividend will be paid on March 1, 2012 to shareholders of record on January 31, 2012. The ex-date for the quarterly dividend of 5 cents per share is January 27, 2012.
