Ventas cuts dividend by 7.6% following spin-off

Ventas (VTR) will cut it's quarterly dividend to $0.73 per share following its spin-off of Care Capital Properties earlier this year.

The dividend is payable in cash on September 30, 2015 to stockholders of record on September 15, 2015. The dividend is the third quarterly installment of Ventas’s 2015 annual dividend.

The $0.73 per share dividend is Ventas’s first following its spin-off of Care Capital Properties, Inc. (CCP) on August 17, 2015. The dividend of $0.73 per share, when combined with CCP’s declared third quarter dividend of $0.57 per share ($0.1425 per share on a pre 1:4 adjustment basis), is consistent with Ventas’s previously stated expectation that the companies’ combined dividend would increase at least 10 percent from their prior level of $0.79 per share on an aggregate basis.
